Mastery of Form

There are two elements to mastery:

  • holding your power (stance),
  • directing your power (wrd)
The energy that you are directing and holding is called chi. When chi is under your control it is called power.

Power is one of the masteries on the path to enlightenment. Carlos Casteneda talks about it as the third enemy.

The first one is fear, the second one is ego (he wrote "clarity"), the third one is power. One must take care that trying overcome fear doesn't turn into false clarity or ego. And one must take care that overcoming clarity doesn't turn into false confidence and passivity (negligence). One doesn't overcome power, one has to ''master'' it. Martial Arts training can help you with that.

Types of power:

  • inner: applied to martial arts, cravings
  • outer: applied to reparte, obstacles the world
