Jedi:Lock Boxes

The Jedi keep lockboxes for people to show their support of the Jedi order. As they do not receive a salary, this supplement can be a significant signal from the masses and provide important support.

Donation slot has mechanical switch that activates with anything that slides though. Each time this happens a counter is incremented.

Switch can be mechanical, electromechanical turning on with activation to save energy.

Key slot is opened by special Jedi key and has both a mechanical and optical test, where both must be present to activate. If either is triggered without the other, another counter is incremented. There is a counter for the mechanical test and the optical test. Sliding in the key turns on the circuit to test the key.

An alarm sounds if both sensors are true but the key is not correct. Perhaps a camera or pre-loaded flag or siren.
