Jedi:FAQ
Frequently Asked Questions (music)
Q: Are the Jedi real?
A: The creation of such a weapon requires at least 5 dimensions of space (better 7) and an agreement by forces larger than humans. It will be some time before the universe is ordered properly and such abilities can manifest. And in any case, it is up to the Spirit to select the means of persuasion the Jedi use. The gun, as you might imagine, is a crude instigator of change, using force like a hammer rather than light itself. Perhaps the Force will select hand combat techniques only, like in many martial arts. It is possible that the New World Order will move the universe into position for such agreement of dimensionality. This could also make the possibility of holoprojectors. Q: Why doesn't the light saber of the Jedi cut the Jedi?
A: The color protects the Jedi. If the Jedi is in tune with the color, the color protects him or her. Han's red blaster could be directly absorbed by Vader on the Cloud City for example, as that was Vader's color as well. Q: Can the Jedi move things with their mind?
A: The Jedi move things with the Force, but the Force is harnessed by some Jedi by the mind and others by the body for the purpose of serving the needs of their aims: Beauty, Knowledge, Justice, and Eternity. Presently, nearly all of the power in the world is moving towards the opposite: convenience (producing ugliness), religiosity (following other's knowledge as fact), power without enlightenment (creating injustice), and money without virtue (a temporary aid, at best). They are always abiding with the Force to move all things towards the highest potentials with these former four points. Q: Why should I follow the Jedi? Isn't that just another organization fostering mystery and cultish behavior?
A: No one should "follow" the Jedi Order. The Force brings the Jedi to you, if such a meetup is helpful. Otherwise, the question is impossible to answer, because it assumes that you should follow them. The Way of the Jedi is something transcendental, and the transcendental is not confined by rationality nor replicatability. In any case, there is nothing secretive about the order and one can ask their questions in the public deposit boxes for the Order (placed at spiritual centers). Q. What do I do if I want to be a Jedi?
A. Find a public deposit box and drop in a note with your name and address announcing your interest. A Jedi will come visit you. It is the Force or Spirit itself that points out apprentices (the impersonal aspect of the Force). (Note: The New World Order has not yet been implemented. Until then, you can try submitting an issue on the issue tab, located on the menu above. It is not clear yet whether this dimension at which this project sits, will survive.) Q. Do the Jedi eliminate?
A. The Jedi do not defecate, but they still urinate. This is to keep an orientation in their body from the inside. They have harnessed the power and order in their body to make maximum use out of everything. Q. What do Jedi do for spending money?
A. A small, but sufficient stipend (equal to the State`s "standard deduction" from income tax but never even 1% of their total annual revenue -- the Jedi aren't there to create an army of warriors), amortized to be deposited monthly by the State. A public deposit box (with insignia) should take donations from the public to help supplement this amount located at spiritual centers (like a Church -- the Jedi came about partly from the stunted prophecy of Messiah), accessed only by bona-fide members of the Order -- as the public deem fit.
Money isn't a salary but a payment for debt owed. Q. What name do they use before assigned one by their master?
A. Before given a name by their teacher, their family name is used. For the Jedi, family comes after their responsibility to the Force and can be called upon at any time for the service of the State. It takes a total commitment to be attuned to the Force -- half-measures don't work out for anyone. The Jedi don't work for the State nor family but for goals that assist and transcend both. S/He works for the Force and the State and Jedi just ensure that it reflects this balance. It is the State's duty to ensure that the Jedi have the resources to accomplish their task. Jedi should always have living quarters for hosting an apprentice and always accept one if it is an individual's last resort. For the Spirit brings an apprentice from many ways. At least one Jedi should also have a ring with their seal for signing any documents (land titles, legal documents, etc.). Until the apprentice accepts the conditions of being a Jedi, they remain an apprentice and may be in contact with family, fulfilling obligations there. Until then, they cannot call themselves a Jedi, merely a Padawan (or padawan learner). Q: Why should the Jedi, if they are acting outside the Law, be paid anything by the Republic?
A: The Jedi replace your expensive military units. They are also the least-paid members of the Republic, getting paid, by definition the least amount sufficient for living. It is this stipend that connects Jedi to the State, who otherwise would roam as free agents. The Jedi, for exchange of a minimal stipend, must:
- be available to the State (for the purposes of a free Republic/Democracy).
- eschew material gain (??yet give it all to the Order to acquire material items on the marketplace),
- make equipment they need themselves or acquire it in the marketplace,
- forego familial attachments, and
- refuse all titles of society (like PhD).
A: Small "ohana"s or stuppas located in each city and some wilderness areas are where the Jedi will reside. For city stuppas, these will be inhabited at most for 1 year at a time. They are meant to be minimalist accomodations for a Jedi and one apprentice. They generally do not pay rent and keep the place tidy and watch over the property. Ideally, these locations give plenty of visibility to stay aware of the city, while not excessively difficult to maintain. The Jedi keep it maintained, but such locations should be easy to maintain. Q: What is in the Jedi headquarters?
A: On Earth, A common meeting room, garden, kitchen, sleeping quarters, meditation room, and small library. Additionally, on Asgaard: practice room, main library. A: The headquarters for the Jedi will probably be located near the Earth spaceport (using the historical Taj Mahal) or in the Jupiter system, at the world`s capital there. Whether it will be founded by the Jedi themselves or the State is not yet determined. Such a purpose presently has not been imagined and is unknown. As for living, STUB the State should set aside pristine places for Jedi to reside when visiting or living in a city to take advantage of the small adjustments that the Jedi do automatically through their abiding relationship to the Spirit/Force. This place is their "sukkah", or "hermitage". ??Additionally, a transit card(?) for the Republic should be provided, in addition to the stipend??. This last point inapt: the presence of the Jedi on transit interferes with the existing leaders. XXXFUTURE: There is one exception to this where it is not suggested that a city allow such a domicile, except purely as a temporary: the city which is rewarded the diamond of excellence (name yet undecided): the city deemed the greatest and in possession of the crystal which shows it. Here, they will have to learn to earn their keep (unless they are invited), perhaps as a consultant to State or Industry.XXX There is no handbook for the Jedi, lest factions develop and splinter the whole and their mutual aims. This is a limit set by the Force itself. Q: Should the Jedi take/accept any other title, like PhD, or Honorable X, etc?
A: No, the Jedi stands apart from the public, so that they may serve it from outside rather than take power from within. The only awards are those given by the State for tasks well-done, not accomplishments of self. Q: Who is a Jedi accountable to?
A: A Jedi is held accountable by the public itself and eventually the Force takes the life of those who don't serve it perfectly. Since they must take a vow of the ascetic and eschew the accumulation of material goods, they are authorized to exert lethal force. The Jedi accept questions at their deposit boxes. If anyone would like to make such inquiry, they should include the name of the Jedi they wish to address in their note, if they have a specific comment or question. Q: Do the Jedi marry or have physical relations?
A: The Jedi is a servant of the 4 paths and ideals. Many such relationships help one of these, but these remain within and are not part of society as a whole. Nonetheless, such connections may last a lifetime. If they choose to make a family, they must drop out of the Jedi Order.
How the State should relate to the Jedi Order: 1. As the Jedi were holding the order to create the World Constitution, the State provides a unique obligation to the Order in exchange for their continued overwatch of principles or humanity and order for the continued development of civilization. garbageNew Government. They had imagined a Republic, but that is why it failed -- there was no one competent enough to create a republic. A democracy would have been better, but the forces darkness couldn't be assuaged by a democracy. In our world, this darkness is being dissipated through Biblical forces of Judgement Day. Once the world democracy is established, there is no military. If nations think they have a need for military, then there is something wrong with their government and the Jedi are there to help fix it. There will be a continual need to watch and interpret events that can't be handled by just one leader as the Constitution requires. This forms an "immune system" to keep the ideals intact. That it seems to relate completely to the Hollywood film "STAR WARS", in both name and purpose, is due to both an accident and insight in Time itself. One could say that we are in the past of that movie, to prevent the dissolution of such goals, while they were in the semi-Apocalyptic future. So, yes, the Jedi, the Senate Order, are real and/or valid.
Q: Do the Jedi have light sabers?
