Enlightenment

Enlightenment is the process of removing that which is false. Of becoming more light, more aware. Moments of satori throw off some of this crust. When you clear your karma, you can stay in the blissful moment of samadhi.

Enlightenment happens when you transcend duality, finish your karma, remove obstacles to staying clear (such as poor diet), and staying aware.

Enlightenment for the West is not achieved through technique alone, it is only a step on the path that must have already been diseased.

There are three traps on the path:

  • wanting to be special ("You've been chosen.")
  • feeling unique (Everyone is unique.)
  • believing you're already there?
You do not need to be on a path of enlightenment to become enlightened. Kids are enlightened and already transcend duality, for example. They are not stuck in their heads with excess reason. So are animals, which also have no karma to clear, btw.

No, most of the obsessions with enlightenment (seen in the West) come from pathologies within the soul.

So, beginner's mind, remember? The uncarved block (Taoism)? Chop wood, carry water.

This path is for those of a technological bent, enslaved by the system from poor upper management and ideals which are far below things like beauty, love, justice, and truth. Meditate on that. You can't have peace without truth and justice. And if you attempt a love-only solution, you will quickly find that your life force has dissipated to nothing through psychic entropy.

So, yes, be on a path to enlightenment, but not for it's own sake, lest it become another battle for ego.

This, madam/sir, is your message from the Divine.
