Academy:Action
Action
Everyday, one affects the world, whether mindfully or not. Actions can lead towards harmony and a strengthening of the Force or take away for it. Non-action can lead to dissipation of the Force when the Cosmos calls for action, so one can infer that the Jedi are in harmony at all times. The Force moves with those who perserve it: you could say that the Jedi are in communion with it, each strengthening the other.
The Jedi Knight masters their relationship to the world, so learns the affects of each move that they make. Like the butterfly effect, each move can have large unintended consequences, but the Jedi learn to read the universe and see their actions rebound from it. For the Jedi, the butterfly effect comes back with an immediacy that allows them to adjust the results or learn from it without waiting many lifetimes.
- When to stay still, when to act
- When to use force, when to merge with it
- Being available to the universe vs. being independent
- (Since you aren't yet an apprentice) When to just be normal, instead of trying to be a master
Secondary students: Failure is the biggest teacher that you can have. And you can use it to master your world quickly -- so quickly it might frighten you -- but this is just your ancestors being afraid of what they didn't understand. Stay tuned and in your power. It could be a karmic lesson. Don't stay silent unless it helps you stay aware and focussed -- there are forces which can come to aid you if you get too vulnerable. Love and Wisdom are real forces of the universe, but they must be held by consciousness, somewhere. This is the wisdom of the holy name in religion -- it gives power to those forces. It is also the wisdom of the Jedi: to cultivate those forces, so that they remain in power. Jedi Academy
