Will this work with my desk?

Can I still use the keypad that came with my desk to control it?

Yep! There is a second port for passthrough to the original keypad.

What can I connect this to?

This device is best used with Home Assistant — the stock firmware plays very nicely with it since it's ESPHome-based. But it can work with anything that ESPHome supports. Check out the HTTP API if you are building your own integration.
