Getting Started

Prerequisites

Before you begin, ensure you have met the following requirements:

• Node.js and npm installed.
• MongoDB database set up and running.
• API keys for any payment gateways you plan to use (e.g., Stripe, PayPal).

Installation

1. Clone the repository:

   git clone https://github.com/prabhath-kj/e-shopee.git
   
   

2. Install dependencies:

   npm install
   

3. Configure environment variables:

   Create a .env file in the project root and set the necessary environment variables, including your MongoDB connection string and any API keys.

   PORT=3000
   MONGODB_URI=<your-mongodb-uri>
   SECRET_KEY=<your-secret-key>
   STRIPE_API_KEY=<your-stripe-api-key>

4. Start the development server:

   npm start
   The application should now be running locally at http://localhost:3000.
   

Usage

1. Visit http://localhost:3000 in your web browser to access the E-Shopee application.

2. Register an account or log in if you already have one.

3. Start managing your products and processing customer orders.
