OpenPrivacyTech is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization committed to democratizing privacy technology and privacy-enhancing technologies (PETs). Our mission is to make PETs accessible to everyone through education, research, and advocacy. We strive to advance the field of privacy tech by conducting research, identifying emerging trends and technologies, developing standards, and building infrastructure for the adoption of PETs.
At OpenPrivacyTech, we understand the critical importance of protecting individual privacy, and we are actively working to promote the adoption of privacy-enhancing technologies. We collaborate with researchers, data scientists, developers, policymakers, industry leaders, and organizations to advocate for strong data privacy and protection laws while promoting the use of PETs.

As a member of our community, you will have the opportunity to work with Privacy Engineers, Researchers, Developers, and Industry Leaders in various working groups. Our working groups focus on specific projects and initiatives, and they provide a space for members to collaborate, share ideas, and work together to solve problems. Joining a working group will give you the chance to work directly on OpenPrivacyTech projects, as well as access to cutting-edge technologies and resources.
We welcome contributions from anyone who shares our passion for privacy technology. Whether you're an experienced developer, a data scientist, or just someone who cares about privacy, there are plenty of ways to get involved.
We welcome contributions to our documentation, technical blogs and tutorials on Privacy Tech and Privacy-Enhancing Technologies. Clear and concise documentation is critical to the success of our projects and helps others understand and contribute to our mission.
Here are some ways you can contribute:
- Edit existing documentation: If you see a mistake, a typo, or a way to improve the existing documentation, you can submit a pull request with your changes.
- Write new documentation: If you have knowledge in a specific area of Privacy Tech, you can help us by creating new documentation. You can submit a pull request with your new documentation.
