System And Hardware Requirements

A SmartPhone or tablet running Android OS (version 10 or greater) connected on WIFI and a ROTEL preamp or integrated amp connect to your local network (LAN) with Ethernet cable.

ROTEL Audio Hardware Supported (2022-06)

RC-1590MKII, RC-1572MKII, RA-1592MKII, RA-1572MKII, RA-6000, A14, A14MKII (Rotel Link is also supported to manage CD player and tuner from your integrated amp or preamp).

Getting Started with ROTEL Remote Control

Before running the app on your Android smartphone/tablet (version 10 or greater) your preamp must be:

• powered on
• connected to your network with wire Ethernet cable to your router and reachable on local network
• your phone must have the WIFI activated and be part of your local network (like your preamp)

The app will discover automatically your pre-amp only if the device is reachable on your local/Home network. If your HIFI device is not found, check your configuration and restart app to re-scan or enter the IP address and port manually (port should be 9590 for ROTEL or 9596 for MICHI).

Read the manual of your ROTEL device to activate the remote control from external app (see the WAKE-UP and POWER Options chapters). On RC MKII models for example you need to set the POWER OPTIONS to “Quick”. Unfortunately, these options are not available in all regions due to local power consumption regulation.
