Template for creating projects dual-licensed under both MIT and Apache 2.0 licenses.
This is a sample template that could be used for creating projects dual-licensed under both MIT and Apache 2.0 license. This would help in taking advantage of the patent clause of Apache 2.0 License, without preventing their usage with projects licensed under GPLv2 or other licenses not compatible with Apache 2.0 license.
- Either fork or use the repository as a Github template.
- Replace all instances of
<authors>
with either your name or text such asContributors of Project <name>
in bothREADME
andLICENSE-MIT
. - Either replace
[<email>]
with your personal or project email enclosed within angle brackets (<, >), such as<email@example.com>
in bothREADME
andLICENSE-MIT
or just remove[<email>]
if you don't want it.
Unless you explicitly state otherwise, any contribution intentionally submitted for inclusion in the work by you, as defined in the Apache-2.0 license, shall be dual licensed as below, without any additional terms or conditions.
