Troubleshooting Meatloaf
Meatloaf using the D32 Pro is a very simple setup, however, sometimes assembling one does not go as planned. Here's how some things you can do to narrow down the issue.
*Note: Just to mention again, Meatloaf is in heavy beta right now. Some things here (and in life) are subject to change. The best place to go for help is the support channel in the Meatloaf Discord. There's lots of help there.
The first and best thing to do first is to connect Meatloaf to your computer and watch the debug window. You can initiate a connection by finding the COM port Meatloaf is using on your computer and creating a serial connection.
There are free terminal programs such as Putty that can assist.
Set your baud rate to 460800 and initiate the connection.
Once connected, verify that your SSID is correct and that the Wifi on the D32 has connected to your network.
Also, you can view which IP address Meatloaf is using. You can put this address into a browser and get a status. The built in webserver is in beta, so many options if any are not available. Take note of this, because the vision is to use a web interface to conifgure Meatloaf.
Using the monitor window, you can view what happens you load programs. If you note "Stream not found", there may be an issue with the paths to your files or the naming.
On the device there is a reset button. Utilize that to watch the boot sequence to make sure there are no errors or issues.
Some of the most common issues seen on the support discord channel are wiring issues. Check for solder blobs. Further, make sure you have the correct orientation when soldering the Din connectors. Some other reported issues are faulty IEC ports on the computers (they're old) and USB power problems. When in doubt, reach out for help at the Meatloaf ER clinic on the support channel in Discord.
