nbs-viewer

TypeScript library for reading Minecraft Note Block Studio (.nbs) files.

Limitations

• Only supports NBS files that are Version 5 and later.
• Not browser-compatible.
• Only meant for standalone Node usage.
• Does not support custom instrument or layer information parts of the file. Those will come later.

Note: The library is currently very alpha and does little error checking. Attempting to use it for an unintended purpose (i.e. reading an NBS file version <= 4) will result in undefined behavior.

Usage

• Read a file into memory.

const nbsViewer = require('nbs-viewer');

var mySong = nbsViewer.readAll('./mySong.nbs');

• Read some notes. Songs are separated by note into "ticks." Ticks have layers, which then have individual notes.

for (const tick of mySong.ticks) {
