This PR improves the styling of the dashboard.

fixed an issue that happens when the screen is very small (the sidebar would take up the entire screen)
added an identifying icon for all "external" links in the sidebar
fixed the "section" sidebar type, so that it works no matter where you click it
reduced the left padding of items under a sidebar "section"
