Gatsby install instructions

Not using Gatsby? Change platform

1. Install the gatsby-plugin-disqus plugin as a dependency with npm by running the following command in your website directory.

   npm install --save gatsby-plugin-disqus
   

2. Add the plugin to your gatsby-config.js file with your Disqus shortname.

   // gatsby-config.js
   module.exports = {
       plugins: [
           {
               resolve: `gatsby-plugin-disqus`,
               options: {
                   shortname: `webdevhub-1`
               }
           },
       ]
   }
   

3. The plugin can then be used to place the Disqus comment section in your page as shown in the following example:

   import { Disqus } from 'gatsby-plugin-disqus';
   
   const Template = () => (
       /* Page contents */
   
       <Disqus
           config={
               /* Replace PAGE_URL with your post's canonical URL variable */
               url: 'PAGE_URL',
               /* Replace PAGE_IDENTIFIER with your page's unique identifier variable */
               identifier: 'PAGE_IDENTIFIER',
               /* Replace PAGE_TITLE with the title of the page */
               title: 'PAGE_TITLE',
           }
       />
   );
