Numpy is, for better or for worse, the torch-bearer among high level APIs for low level array manipulations. I found Petalisp intriguing due to its highly aggressive, highly optimized JIT compiler, and I wanted to learn the yoga of lazy array manipulations to see if it had a place among those high level APIs. (Really, it already does because of the common lisp platform it sits upon and the development experience that entails.)
This is a WIP, limited port of numpy written as an exercise so that I might learn how to use Petalisp. You should not consider it suitable for use in any project, since stability and correctness are not guaranteed.
