## Rebuttal to Yatil's _"WCAG 3 is not ready yet"_
# Rebuttal to Yatil's _"WCAG 3 is not ready yet"_

Early December of 2021, Eric Eggert (Yatil) continued his derisive commentary regarding new contrast methods proposed in WCAG 3. His opinion piece has been re-used and re-posted over the last few years by others of a small group of individuals that have been actively obstructing the improvement of readability and visual accessibility standards. We refer to them collectively as _"the obstructionists"_.

And yet Mr. Eggert has refused multiple good faith attempts to discuss the basis of the ratings, and merits of providing different levels of conformance. If it is not clear to him, he is being obtuse, and actively resiting the work, including the updated documentation. We have offered these obstructionists zoom call discussions to answer questions and show the research and basis for the work—that they have ignored these good faith attempts speaks volumes.
