Transforming the "Development" page into a community "Articles" page

Maybe one site can be used to gather articles from the haxe/heaps community
Mentioning Articles page...

First outlook page have:

  • Github samples
  • Samples from other users
  • Template games for learning
  • Step-by-step Tutorials
  • Complete games (open source)

Is Articles page really need?

We also have in the sidebar:

  • Jam games
  • Sample games for learning
  • Copy & paste game templates
  • Breakout
  • Platform game
  • Rogue
  • Sample games with resources

Is this not too much?

At the very least this page should be called tutorials, with all the relevant information.

In the long run it would be nice to have an articles page to appreciate articles from the community and concentrate them in one place and thus to make them findable for all audiences. Right now "Community" links directly to the forum.

It's true, the side bar looks very cluttered right now...
However the content matters more than how it looks for the moment... maybe we can have a sidebar with collapsibles at some point later in time, just like in the Haxe manual

I want to clean up a bit all the wiki I wrote, especially the whole samples section:

Jam games
Sample games for learning
Copy & paste game templates
Breakout
Platform game
Rogue
Sample games with resources

It could be later condensed to

Jam games
Sample games for learning
Breakout
Platform game
Rogue

...

I did not want to remove the "Jam games" as a page, because of the nice little pictures.

And also maybe one day we will have a proper "Tutorials" page... but looking at other game engines (Flixel, Godot etc.) we don't have one right now... (with step by step explanations etc.)

By the way all these pages, information and the styles that for good reasons can be complained about, it just was a work in progress. It all grew step by step, back and forth (in the github wiki) and was never published. Now it all of a sudden is (and I am thankful for that), but it also just was never really checked and this takes some time (like Hristo said, step by step), especially now that the process is controlled.

So I can well understand that you can see there is still a lot to fix! 🙂

The name "Article" does not seems to be more informative compared to "development", and can still be confusing.

Development sounds like something related to the development of the Heaps engine itself.
Why not Tutorials?

Are there some titles you would agree on? Maybe:
"Community articles" or "Articles from the community" or "Blogs" ... whatever you like! 😄

Maybe just "Articles" was a bit too vague, sorry for that! 😅

Or "Other Tutorials" ? But we can't name it "Tutorials" though, because we are not talking about a tutorial for Heaps here.
(This is a tutorial: Godot or Flixel)

...

I just wanted to have some place a bit like this: Haxe, Flixel... or just a place to gather written articles, maybe also videos later that come from the Haxe community.. or help with development in general, also regarding that Heaps is a bit different than Godot, Game Maker, Unity... there is more that you have control over and that requires a bit different/more skills (no?) 🙂
