Overview

This is most likely related to three issues.

  1. A smart card reader issue.
  2. A smart card reader driver issue.
  3. The smart card itself.

Testing Steps - Issue 1

  1. Test with a different reader on the same machine or on a different machine. If it works, replace the reader.

  1. Test with the same reader on a different machine. If it works, re-install the drivers.

Testing Steps - Issue 3

  1. Test with a difference smart card on the same machine and same reader. If it works, get a new card.
