Releases: Enoch72/sgminer-MK
MK-1.0.8 Moonero to the MOON
We actually have one of the best open source miner for Monero or other v7 algo coins.
Whatt's new:
- Algo Monero cryptonight v7 optimized.
- Added Options to fine tune the performance of monero kernels.
- Short pdf guide to configure the miner and the card for optimal performance.
Sgminer-MK in action using an AMD R9 390x card , stock card settings, OS Windows 7, AMD Adrenalin driver 18.5.2. The setting are the same of the .bat file included in the download (2 thread per gpu, intensity 672, worksize of 4)
Tested on AMD R9 390x the miner seems to give the best hashrate compared to other best miners.
Claymore Cryptonote performs about 855 hashes/s, SRBminer performs 874 hashes per secs, while MK is constantly above 880 hashes/sec with peaks to 890.
The miner is free to download for test purposes.
NO dev fee in the miner but ... Open source software doesn't means software for free.
GPL license allow to charge a price or a fee for download the software.
If you want to use the miner in production environment you shall to pay a developer fee of 0.005 XMR for GPU.
Obviously this contribute the project alive. For other details please read the LICENSE.TXT file in the distribution file.
The planned road-map for next release/s are:
- Other speed optimizations for Monero (1/2%)
- Implement and transfer optimizations to CNHeavy algo
- GUI and tools to best configure, monitor and fine tuning the mining algos
- Under request, is possible transfer the optimizations to other Open Source projects (ex: XMR rig). The speedup gain is estimated between 3 and 5%.
Please support the development sending donations and/or fee payments [XMR] to this address:

If you want to compile the miner by yourself, source code of the executable is downloadable directly from the hyperlink.
NOTE: for best configure you cards please read the manual in the .zip file.
MK-1.0.7 dev free version
Whatt's new :
- Added Monero algo.
- No Dev fee
Actual hashrate of a R9 390x, stock bios settings, OS Windows 7, AMD Adrenalin driver 18.5.2.
Tested on old cards AMD (R9 390x and hd 7950) gives exceptionally high hashrate compared to other miners.
Claymore Cryptonote performs about 855 hashes/s on my R9 390, while MK is above 865.
SRBminer performs 874 hashes per secs.
Results obtained using a worksize of 4 , 2 threads per GPU, (see monero.bat file) included in the release.
I hope newer cards will outperform in the same way.
For rawintensity params I found best results are obtained using the formula : (GPU ComputeUnits-1) * 16.
Stay tuned. I'm working on optmizing the kernel.
Another release will be planned to be out after second half of July.
MK-1.0.6
Whats'new:
- Console now display logs in colors.
- Fixed Xevan.cl compilation for old AMD cards ex: hd 7950 (maybe also for Vegas)
- Mine 1 minute every 100 for the developer.
- There are 2 builds, the 'x' is the high performance, commercial version.
The commercial version (sgminer-MK_1_06x.zip) mines Xevan and Raven and x16s coins 20% faster ❗
(Tested on older Amd cards: R9 390x and HD 7950. For newer cards I don't know. I'm poor ! 😜 ).
If someone with newer cards want to test it and submit the results will be welcome! )
The main difference among the two versions are the optimized cl kernels.
The commercial version is not free, full source code (and a 0 fee version) will be available for a price of $200 or the same value in cryptocurrency.
Is downloadable on the site only for test purposes and for verify/deny my claims about performances.
NOTE:
This software was developed and tested under Windows 7, driver version (AMD) 18.5.1
The executable of the commercial version is 'obfuscated' by thirdly party tools: some antivirus (I used Avast) mark the miner as a virus, so if you want use it you have to manually disable some restriction.
In some systems maybe required to install 2013 Visual C++ Redistributable Package for x86 if appears a 'dll ... missing' message. Please report this issue.
