To run the Django Blog Application locally, follow these steps:
- Clone the repository:
git clone https://github.com/Ansarimajid/Blog.git
- Navigate to the project directory:
cd Blog
- (Optional) Create and activate a virtual environment:
python3 -m venv myenv
andsource myenv/bin/activate
- Install the required dependencies:
pip install -r requirements.txt
- Set up the database by running migrations:
python manage.py migrate
- (Optional) Load sample data:
python manage.py loaddata sample_data.json
- Start the development server:
python manage.py runserver
- Open a web browser and access the application at
http://localhost:8000
Note: Make sure you have Python and Django installed on your system before proceeding with the above steps.
