Adding existing virtual machines

Since version 1.4.0 you can quickly import existing virtual machine files into the Manager by following this procedure:

1. Click on the Add button to add a new virtual machine in the Manager
This brings up the "Add a virtual machine" dialog.

2. Check "Import VM files from" Now type the path to your files (the parent folder) in the textbox or click "Browse…" to navigate there and select the folder. It is recommended you don't have any other unrelated files in the same folder, as those will be copied as well.

3. Set the desired name for this virtual machine
The Manager will automatically create a folder with this name in your virtual machines folder.

4. Click on "Add" Manager will copy over your files and you'll be informed if the operation was successful or not. If it wasn't, you'll end up with a fresh VM instead.

And you're done. This essentially creates a new virtual machine with the name you specify and copies the existing files you selected to its folder. Keep in mind you may need to update any paths to your disk images inside the config file. If you already have a folder for your virtual machine in the VMs folder, you don't need to check the import checkbox, just use the same name as the folder name and add it as if it were a new machine.

The alternative is to manually move the files to your virtual machines folder, and add a new virtual machine with an appropriate name.
