Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe.
Since at least 9ea1c9b, zinit update and self-update require GitHub credential. This was not the case before.

Describe the solution you'd like

  1. Documents what GitHub permission is needed.
  2. Allows alternative authentication such as tokens or remote via SSH.
