Do you have a paper or a way to cite the tool?

There is a way to cite source code academically in APA.

Also if the citation is technical (i.e. code was reused), I would put a link to the source code locked to a tag or SHA commit hash. If it's conceptual (e.g. someone else's algorithm to attack part of a problem), you can link to the README or comment line.

A paper titled An empirical study of source code detection using image classification cited it as Guesslang. https://guesslang.readthedocs.io/en/latest/.

I would recommend looking at papers in your field that cite it for examples.
