Google Maps Platform - legacy renderer decommissioned

Hi All,

After searching discussions and issues without success, I am after a bit of clarification.

I have recently received an email from the google maps platform (as I'm sure most of you who have a live android app using maps have recieved) stating that the renderer for the android maps sdk will be automatically updated to the latest renderer beginning March 4 2024.

Does anyone know if we have to do anything to facilitate this, or will Xamarin.Forms.Maps 'just continue to work' ?

The email states - 'No action is recommended if your app already uses Maps SDK for Android v18.2.0', However I can't seem to find the exact version being used by Xamarin.Forms.Maps to cross reference this.

What about older apps on the app store - will they require to be updated?

As my app heavily uses maps, I'm concerned.
