Mac needs compatibility with creator companion so that mac users can create things and not just window users. If mac users were able to create things, a lot more people would be creating things faster and it could draw a lot more people to the game if mac was compatible. I'm a mac user myself and i want to create my own personal avatar instead of looking for public ones, and it would be great if this was added as a feature. Multiple people have also been wanting this for mac and a lot of people would be happy to have this.

I think it's good for VCC to have cross-platform support!
However, I'm using mac for VRChat creation for about 2 years and here is how I create things with mac, for your information.
There are some official ways to use VRCSDK on macOS.
First, there is cross-platform command-line client of VCC, who also supports macOS (https://vcc.docs.vrchat.com/vpm/cli). This does not provide as good creator experience as windows but this allows you to create things on macOS.
Secondly, We may use unitypackage VRCSDK available on VRChat Home Downloads page. This is not recommended but works.
In addition, there are some third-party solution for macOS.
There are some VCC alternatives that supports macOS like ALCOM and others.
