Currently experimenting with:

• Leveraging campus contract for AWS, a collaboration with Isaac Orr and IST-Telecommunications

• Deploying & delegating AWS resources, a collaboration with Chris Paciorek (Statstics researcher, lecturer and SCF staff) and Ryan Lovett (SCF staff) that enables:

  • requesting and using AWS grants for research and teaching
  • delegate access to participants in a teaching or training environment
  • data analytics using Elastic MapReduce for Hadoop-style analysis
  • data analytics using Spark on EC2 from the Berkeley Data Analytics Stack

• Compatibility between BCE analytics stacks and the Savio Institutional cluster, a collaboration with staff at Lawrence Berkeley Lab (LBL), Krishna Muriki, Yong Qin, and Greg Kurtzer, and campus partners Ryan Lovett (SCF staff) and Dav Clark (D-Lab staff / BIDS Fellow). Join the discussion.
