Regarding this issue, I think we might have to opt for a more complex architecture using a rasp... The idea would be that the rasp will handle all the high level stuff (serving file, compiling recipes, configuration...) and the esp8266 will handle basic requests such as go home, serve a dose of hard number 4... Would that be okay for you ? I think this should also allow to handle cocktails with a bigger recipe. We would keep wifi for connection between the rasp and the esp8266 I think, this would allow to replace the rasp with almost any web server.
