What problem would this feature solve? Please describe.
If more than ~3 layers are added to the maps the scales become rather unmanageable!

Describe the solution you'd like
A custom scale, possibly only displayed when the corresponding layer is displayed

This could potentially be done with the new template.html file and overriding the LayerControl
