When using a wavelink thunderbolt dock (Not their displaylink based docks), turning the dock on and then powering up the notebook will result in very random behavior regarding booting. A CMOS reset is required to get the notebook to function again. I have booted the system a few times and observed the following behaviors:
System76 post message on all 3 displays (2 via thunderbolt + laptop internal LCD), and then hangs (Does not load OS, or respond to ESC key press)
LCD backlight turns on but nothing happens
No activity at all (Just the power LED turns on and the system appears dead otherwise)
Can boot into the OS, but then every command hangs (Almost like the SSD is not responding at all - The SSD status light does not blink)
After removing the dock, and unplugging the CMOS battery, the notebook will boot up totally OK. I can plug in the thunderbolt dock after the system has posted, and the system will behave like normal until next boot up.
