I would tip no, because I think the dev usually sees everything in the back-end. |

I would give two options Hide for Authors only + Hide for Authors & Managers (non-dev) and they could select. I can see cases where you want your manager to set some permissions maybe. and in some cases you want only the dev to see it because maybe you want to change an important setting.. as I said I don't use it so it's hypothetical |
I think I would rather create specific, mutually exclusive options.
If you want both, select both. at least, there will be not side effects and confusion. |
