Did you check existing requests?

Describe the feature

Netrw shows an asterisk (*) and highlights executable files. It might have more highlights for other special files (like directories), but this one is the one I care about most.

I don't care much for the asterisk itself.

Provide background

This makes it easier to find files of interest IMO. The "permissions" column is too crowded by itself.
