Hi there! 🌞

I’m Pedro, I'm a former web developer turned full time R/Shiny developer in 2018.

πŸ‘₯ After my switch to Shiny I immediately fell in love with R, Shiny and its open source mentality and community, and have been trying to do my part to share what I know and do with everyone!

πŸ“¦ Over the last years I released a few successful packages on CRAN, as well as fully open source dashboards to showcase what you can do with Shiny.

🌐 As a former Web developer I believe there is much I can bring from my "past live" into the Shiny package ecosystem, so I am constantly experimenting with different ideas and concepts about pushing the limits of Shiny in traditional (and nontraditional) ways.

πŸ“’ You might also have seen me in conferences or other R events talking and presenting about R/Shiny. I truly believe that sharing what you do with the community is important, and try when I can to give back as much as possible.

πŸ’Έ Unfortunately, open source work is still something that doesn't pay the bills, so there is a hard cap on what I can get done in my free time, leading often to shelving ideas or, specially in the case of packages, very long times between idea and release.

πŸŽ‰ This is where YOU can help! With your support, I can shift more and more of my focus into open source as a part time activity instead of a after hours hobby. Maybe one day I can become a full time open source content creator, but until then any support helps! πŸ™
