Who's that guy? 👤
Salut! 🥖 I'm Adrien, a software engineer working at SkyBox Labs on Minecraft: Bedrock Edition. Open-source software has always been a significant part of my life. Whenever I encounter a problem, my first instinct is to explore what the open-source community has created to address it. I consistently use open-source software before considering proprietary solutions (yes, I'm that person who doesn't use Messenger, Gmail, WhatsApp, Instagram... you name it!).
What does he do? ⚒️
When I can't find an open-source solution, I take the initiative to solve the problem myself, resulting in numerous projects, including financial tools, Unity plugins, C++ libraries, and even game engines.
I've spent most of my life coding (so I'm quite knowledgeable about desk chairs by now). Currently, I'm focused on further developing Overload and creating educational games.
What does he want? 🌙
I aspire to dedicate more time to open-source software development, and I believe that GitHub Sponsors could greatly assist with that goal. By supporting my work, you're not only supporting me as an individual but also making a clear statement that open-source development is a fantastic approach to building software, and contributing to shaping a better future.
What's he gonna do if you chip in? 💬
I commit to investing 99% of donated funds (I'll need some leftovers for coffee) in:
- Improving build pipelines
- Maintaining domain names and server infrastructures
- Boosting Discord servers
- Freeing up more time to focus on building open-source tech
