Hi,
I'm Alessandro, for the last five years I've dedicated I good chunk of my free time to improving Go's debuggability. In pratical terms this meant:

  • Being co-maintainer of Delve
  • Contributing to the Go project itself, with patches and code reviews, to improve the way it generates debug symbols
  • Helping IDEs and editors (such as GoLand, VSCode-go and vim-go) have a better integration with Delve.
  • Writing Gdlv: a graphical user interface for Delve.

I did this because it was fun to do and, to be honest, I'll probably keep doing it as long as my work and life allows me. But if you find that you derived some value from my work and want a way to give back, this isn't going to hurt 😉
