If one adds a caption to the tikz directive, the tikz environment is put into a figure. Currently the label for the figure environment is auto-generated. Added support for custom labels would be appreciated. I suggest this to be done by allowing the standard :name: option.

You are talking about the PDF output via LaTeX, right?

In your case, would the standard way to change labels of floats in LaTeX help?
