What if PushBot could do polls!?!

I know a guy who is a very good programmer who could do just that thing, I bet! What if I e-mail him! No... That won't work, what if instead I just sign up for a service I don't know how to use and hope for the best! Sure! That sounds like me! (And it really does)!

The poll feature you brought in seems clever, especially since I know you've made PushBot count emoji reactions before.

Maybe make it work the same way where it counts reactions.

I didn't like how the polling feature you found showed us how our friends votes automatically in front of God and everything. It should keep that shit secret until you ask or something.

Then, if we want it to give a breakdown, it can be timed and respond in a thread that it pushes to the channel it happened in or something?

I don't know I haven't really thought this out. Don't know why you thought it might be a good idea to have me do this, really, but I'm willing, so whatever.

A set amount of time for polls to exist seems like a good idea to me since Slack is kind of ephemeral for us anyway. Instead, it could be an option where you set a timer. ¯_(ツ)_/¯

Anyway, I know this is kinda meandering. I'm in a weird mood. But if you could let me know what I can do to be more helpful when I do this sort of thing in the future, that would be good for both of us I think.

Cheers!

Maybe make it work the same way where it counts reactions.

So the /poll app doesn't actually count "reactions" where reactions are reaction emoji. (And with reaction emoji we'd all see each other's votes, which we don't want.)

Slack has this weird division between "bots" and "apps" in its API. I'll have to do some research to see if I can support the "click a button" thing in bot output 🤔

Okay, I did a little reading on the Slack developer docs and stuff has changed since the last time I messed with anything at this level. To get this to work the way we want it to, I believe I'll have to:
