Simpla looks like an awesome project – a very elegant solution to the need for lightweight inline editing of static sites.
But it hasn't seen any activity for over a year. Is it still active?
I'm not able to install the components via bower, or npm. The docs don't quite align with my Netlify admin interface. I'm downloading the repos to try it out, and I hope it works. It all seems too good to abandon...

Hey glad you like Simpla! The project is kind of in stasis unfortunately. Both I and @bedeoverend have moved on to other work, and we're currently the only maintainers.
Would happily accept PRs or for others to take a more active role to revive Simpla, but as it stands we don't have any plans for developing it further ourselves (unless you feel differently @bedeoverend).
It should all work via Bower, but tbh it's been a long time since I've used Bower directly myself. The number one item on the roadmap before Simpla pivoted to an OSS project was to migrate to Polymer 3/LitElement and NPM, because Bower was painful but the only option in the Polymer 1.x days.
Thanks for explaining, @seaneking. I'm not skilled enough to contribute PRs at the moment – perhaps down the line.
Bower doesn't work, unfortunately. It doesn't find the modules. I hope to come back to Simpla when I have the skills to get the code working and make some improvements. Good luck with your current projects!
