To improve the sorting more, we could sort more like event platforms do:

First a section "Upcoming events" which would show the next one on top and going down into the future.
Then below that a section for "Past events" listing by most recent up top.

There are some super old blogposts which where shown first in production after your changes in sorting. So I had to add some code a325d88

The production database is a bit strange. Makes me really want to add a staging server with the production data. Will do that as soon as possible.
