docs.ropensci.org pkgdown styling issue: <strong> doesn't show up as bold text

When bolding text in a vignette or in NEWS.md (e.g. https://github.com/frictionlessdata/frictionless-r/blob/a62e2b92178279f4bda50ee53e6d0ee962d37d57/vignettes/data-package.Rmd#L70) it is rendered as bold text when rendering locally with pkgdown:

On docs.ropensci.org however, the text does not show as bold:

I believe this affects all pkgdown websites on docs.ropensci.org and is likely caused by custom styling.
