Hello

I wanted to try out you add-on so I can finaly get some use out of my Nuimo. But I can't seem to be able to add your repository to HassIO, it comes up as "unknown" and no addon is displayed in add-on store.

Hello. I'm currently doing a rewrite of this addon in TypeScript. Unfortunately I'm on vacation right now so please don't expect anything soon. Hopefully in two to three weeks I'll have something ready as I'm looking to make use of my Nuimo desperately as well. ;)

[Edit]
If you want to use this repo in the Hassio web UI, you can't. You'll have to clone it manually and move it to the addon folder of your Hassio installation. I believe there was some more detailled explanation on how to achieve this in the Hassio addon development documentation.

Thanks for the reply, I will look into the cloneing method. I Look forward to the updates, have had my Nuimo for a few years now but never used it because of the lacklsuter support from Senic. But the hardware is so good and it have potenial to be great!

Have a nice vacation!

Unfortunately, no. I have too many open projects in my home automation and this is not on the top of my priority list. Sorry.

I had made some progress with the TypeScript project, but I ran into some issues and then sadly lost interest. If I recall it, I think I was reaching a point where I thought it might be easier to ditch the JS/TS approach and use Python, as it seems better supported by the manufacturer.

@riker09 ok understand your comment - had in mind to follow the same approach as you did, although I failed with even getting this Docker image build. noble, especially node-bluetooth-hci-socket have issues noble/node-bluetooth-hci-socket#122 and are not really maintained anymore. Now looking into https://github.com/getsenic/nuimo-linux-python - here I have a docker image build (including bluez and dbus running) and can connect to numio, but pushing a button crashes. let's this if older version of bluez 5.44 will fix that...
