Current goal is to put this repository in maintenance mode, and build out a React Native TypeScript implementation in this repository: mobile.

See the beam repository's React/TypeScript codebase that we can probably heavily borrow from for this.

If we were to implement a local build of the beam repository before converting to a fully native React Native and TypeScript app, per this comment:

You need to add this prop 'allowingReadAccessToURL' to allow the native web view to read files in the directory you want.

Employing the allowingReadAccessToURL prop should allow us to get this functional via local source files.
