Import/Export

Hello Mike,

I wish you a healthy and happy new year.

I played arround with Binner a little and want to use it for my existing private stock components, tools and so on.
The import/export functionality is not working which prevents me adding more stock to the database.
There is a import/export button on the Main Page but only the export function work half. The excel export does not work.

Is there a way to import a database with my components to binner?

I also found it non very convenient how to edit inventory.
By clicking on "search inventory" and then on the specific Part in the first row, nothing gets displayed.
To edit a part I have to click on "search inventory" and then on one of the locations or on Bin Number.

The "Print Lable" Button in inventory does not work.

Nice to have would be:

• Security Question Popup "Are you sure?" (deleting Parts or Projects happens faster then expected.)
• Backup/Restore Functionaliry
• Delete complete Database Button
• Language Files to change to German language
• Login with User and Password
• User Management with roles
• Adding Pictures to Parts

There have been some enhancements to this page as part of the v2.1.1 release, but I'll look at adding what I can to next week's release.

The language features and user management will likely not make it yet as it involves a fair bit of work. Some of these are features currently on Binner.io and it'll take some time to backport them to the open source version.

Hi @norticum - release v2.2.0 is now out which contains a lot of bug fixes. I'm hoping it solves your issue as the import/export page was updated.

A few more specific answers:

Trying to fit in as much as possible in a quick fashion, some features are much more time consuming than others.
