In a team, inventory items are taken out and updated by by multiple engineers. It is essential to have a way to see who took out how many items, and who added how many items to the inventory. Each change in stock should come with a note or a logbook entry so we can later verify right quantity was updated. This prevents typos, accidental mis-calculations, etc.

Great suggestion. I had originally planned to add this with some stock management support. I think this is going to be in the next minor version in a couple of weeks.

Hi Mike, thanks for the acknowledgement. For our team, and hopefully many R&D labs, this workflow would be the best.

For projects that have known list of components:

1. User uploads the BOM file and enters the number of projects.
2. Available stock and rack location are displayed for the parts.
3. User physically picks an item from the rack.
4. User marks the item as Picked in the check-list view.
5. Optionally, user changes the displayed count, and adds a note.

1. User searches an item.
2. Available stock and rack location are displayed for the parts.
3. User can click on the "Take Out" button.
4. User physically picks an item from the rack.
5. User enters the number of items taken out, and adds a note.
