Closing a window does not work.

Describe the bug
after running the multi window example, if you try to close one of the windows, nothing happens, and the app freezes up, until you go to the terminal and press ctrl-c to end the program, it crashes with: Segmentation fault (core dumped)
There seem to also be problems with doing literally anything in any of the open windows, where if you click a button, it all freezes up.
To Reproduce
Steps to reproduce the behavior:

1. run the multi window example
2. try closing the window
