Hi All,
New heat pump owner here and loving that I can get the tech details of what's going on in the pump. Kudus to the project creators 🙏
I have a question here that may have been thought of/discussed before but I couldn't see anything in the issues or PRs. My wifi goes off overnight each night and as I make my domestic hot water in the middle of the night (when the electricity is cheap), I've realised I'm not going to get the logs of this. My initial thoughts were that as ESPAltherma is running on a queue system there's probably an option to save messages for later transmission if the connection drops. However on investigation it looks like this isn't something MQTT offers and support has to be added at the software level. Is my understanding here correct? I'm a developer by trade but I focus on high level web languages so I'm a bit out my depth with embedded and C.
This then opens up a load of other questions like how much ram is actually available on a M5StickC and if indeed this is practical. But figured it'd be best to work out the basics first.
If anybody offer any insight/guidance, or indeed if this has been looked at before, it'd be appreciated,
George
