• How much $ to allot for PyLadies PyCon travel grant requests - Phyllis via @econchick
  • 850+ travel grant appls; $1.5 million
  • budget for conference is 2.1 million for everything - don't have 1.5; already running a loss
  • gave round 1 travel grants out last monday; already allocated some funds
  • have individually reviewed pyladies requests
    • some people just check the box, not really pyladies requests
    • preferred organizers, first timers
    • ~$65k for 38 pyladies requests
    • last year we funded $50k
    • $164k as of last year, another $20k donation, close to $180k in bank
    • $55k from auction in 2023
    • $38k from auction in 2022
    • general feeling is that we can cover current pyladies requests + outstanding awardees
    • email Phyllis the decided funding amount
    • by friday: funding + any additional pyladies to fund that only received "online only" tickets
• Finalization of PyLady Outstanding Award recipients
  • no Global Council members, at least not for the first iteration; follow what the PSF does for CSAs/DSAs
  • final votes by friday
  • @econchick to draft an email for council to review
  • awardee pycon funding:
    • are they already in the system / have they applied?
    • if not, ask if they need funding - Phyllis to help craft that part of the email
    • $1500 for US, $2000 for non-US
• Decision on Cmd Lime proposal
