Keyboard lost while creating VM in virt-manager

Attempting to create a virt-manager ubuntu 24.04 VM on Pop-OS 24.04.

Everything fine till 'enter username' screen (significant display flicker seen but it doesn't affect using the dialog)

On the enter password screen keyboard input freezes and unable to complete the install. Where it freezes seems to broadly correlate with the number of characters entered and the response time increases (time from keypress to character appearing on screen) as characters are entered. In the 'frozen condition' CPU on the vm is reporting 100%

Behavior feels like a 'blocked on buffer full' condition but the CPU behavior doesn't support this.

My bad, I was able to reproduce this in pop 22.04, it is not a cosmic issue. Looks to be an issue with the specific iso I was using.
