not all apps respect the theming

Despite I set the theme to be dark, not all the apps are applying the dark theme.

top left: doesn't apply dark theme at all
bottom left: applies dark theme except the menu bar
bottom middle: doesn't apply dark theme at all
bottom right: doesn't render correctly
