The current implementation is a bit confusing.
Most users expect an "all apps" section and a "favourites" section as a minimum. The applet should be designed around this basic expectation.

Since folders can be created and deleted, I think a Favorites by default doesn't make a ton of sense. Users can make a Favorites if they want.
IMO, "all apps" kinda makes sense though. If I make a bunch of categories and sort a bunch of apps, then forget where I put one of them, I'll have to use search to find it, then re-sort it into wherever I was expecting it to be. Not the end of the world, but having "all apps" might be a more intuitive way to find something, especially if I'm having trouble remembering the app's name.
Yeah I thought the lack of all apps section was most jarring when I installed. I ended up deleting all folders to get that functionality.
I think all apps + folders (which use tags rather than actually moving apps) is the better solution.
