I was checking out how the open source license was set up for the Pelican project for inspiration on a unrelated project. Had a couple thoughts to share.
License boilerplate - In the top level
/LICENSE
, I noticed that the Appendix section at the end lists this as the copyright:Compare that to the copyright that is listed in the boilerplate of a code file (such as
/cache/cache.go
):I'm guessing the top level
/LICENSE
file should be updated to change the copyright listed; I presume to the same copyright listed elsewhere in the boilerplates.Contributing - Great to see a contributing guide added to the repository. I think it might be a good idea to add a brief section about how contributions are treated under the license, even if its just to say something like "your contributions will be licensed for use as described in the license file". I would appreciate a plain English description of what it means practically, and then of course you can refer them to the license for the specifics.
